We have been to Pismo Beach many times, but this was the first time we towed our CRV. It really opened up our choices, and we decided to take in a show at the Great American Melodrama Theater (http://www.americanmelodrama.com) in Ocean Beach.
Great American MelodramaWhen you think of melodrama, if you think of Snidely Whiplash, or maybe Dudley Do-Right, then you have a sense of what this theater offers…very funny spoofs by some very talented actors and singers. At the Great American Melodrama you will cheer for the hero and boo and hiss at the dastardly villain.
As luck would have it, some great friends from the Napa Valley area were also in town, so we made plans to meet at the Cool Cat Cafe in Pismo Beach and then go to the show. Since it was close to Haloween, we saw “Scary Poppins”, about the sister of Mary Poppins…a very funny show! We really enjoyed the evening and highly recommend you take in a show if you are in the area.
We also thoroughly enjoyed Pismo Beach, yet again!
